UCLA Ambulatory Care Centre

As one of the initial Campus designs by the UCLA Design Group, the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) identified many of the principle organizational and design goals for UCLA.

- The establishment of a new Campus Gateway was included in the planning and conceptual design allowing for directions for the vehicular circulation and distribution internally to the Campus and the connective properties to Westwood Village, Wilshire Corridor and the 405 Freeway.

- Recognition of the necessity for the growth to establish an “Urban Campus”

- The goal for the allowance of  improved accessibility and orientation grew to become a Campus wide program

- Development of “place” with the breaking apart of a planned single building into four main components MHC, MOC, ACC and parking to allow for connection to the gateway and provide open space and arrival area

- Connection potentials to the west campus and the south campus

- Relocation of recreational space to northwest campus and consolidation with Sunset Canyon Recreation Center
