This brochure was designed to showcase the four events hosted by Computer Society of India - VIT Student Chapter in the tenth edition of ‘graVITas’, - graVITas 2018,
which was held during 12-14 October 2018.
The theme of graVITas 2018 was “Technologies for Non-Technologists”.So in accordance to that we had ideated and decided on 4 events which have been included in the brochure. The events were Under The Hood, Clickbait, SubG, and Laser Tag.
What was the idea behind the waves and the blue color?
Ocean and the waves in it was the major inspiration for the current brochure design. The ocean is the beginning of life on Earth, and symbolizes formlessness, the unfathomable, and chaos. The ocean can also be seen as a symbol of stability, as it can exist largely unchanged for centuries.
CSI-VIT has been a prominent name in the college for past few years and some of the most famous and innovative events are associated with them. Associating unending waves with the brochure to showcase the relentless passion of the members of CSI-VIT to make something new was the key concept behind this brochure design.
Usage of White Space to showcase the different elements of the brochure, instead of adding more elements to distinguish between different sections was the reason many of the commonly seen brochure elements were not included.
