Situation: Create a poster for the 2013 South Carolina Strawberry Festival in Fort Mill.
This is my posters defense that I attached with my entry for the judges. In it I describe my research, insight, and process that I used in creating "Super Berry Comes to Town".
The theme for the festival is "It's One Super Berry!" I selected to use size to show how super of a berry mine is. I was inspired by the Allman Brothers Band album "Eat A Peach".
I presented the defense as if the lay out was done for a spread in a magazine.
Poster submission: "Super Berry Comes to Town"
This is my submission for the South Carolina Strawberry Festival in Fort Mill SC.
I created "Super Berry Comes to Town" in two steps.
First: I created the tractor, trailer, and strawberry in illustrator using the pen tool with personal photographs.
Second: I brought my creation into Photoshop and added a watercolor wash with a multiply blend effect and lowered the opacity and fill to help diffuse the digital look of the design and allow a painted feel.
