Aguadulce is a team project developed by Janelle Castillo, Seyoung Lee, and Rafaela Fajardo.

The challenge was to choose an existing edible arrangements company and create a new line of products based off of it. We chose the company Edible Arrangements: a quirky, fun, and very successful fruit arrangement company that started in Providence, Rhode Island. First things first, we started by researching the company, its market, and its users...
After doing the competitive analysis, we realized that what made Edible Arrangements different was its freshness. None of their products come pre-packaged, which makes it eco friendly and ready to eat without having to struggle opening boxes.

Taking into account shipping and handling, we came up with the idea of creating something that is always fresh. That is when Aguadulce was born. Shots of fruits preserved in alcohol, stored in a zero-waste packaging where every single piece is as functional as it is decorative.
The name Aguadulce means "Sweet water" in Spanish. It is a reference to the fruity shots, and to the freshness of the product. The packaging alludes to the brand as well, as it imitates the shape of a river, a sweet water current, as seen from the top.
