Jugaad Lab and Explorations

The first part of the project started with us setting up our own lab. Being in an Art/Design institution, we didnt have the facilities or the direct access to a laboratory. Hence we created our own mobile lab which consisted of Micropes, a Centrifuge, an Incubator, a Laminar air flow, a Desicator ect. All the equipment in the lab is hand made through other convinient objects and materials also called "Jugaad".
Microscope made from a webcam
Incubator made from Thermocol
Laminar Air Flow from Wood and Acrlyic and AC fans

Balloon Mapping
Another part of the project that gained a lot of attention during the outreach was balloon mapping. As it would be needed to record and mark the spots/places that have been sampled for soiled, we figured aerial photography was too expensive. Hence we went for balloon mapping which merely consisted of helium filled balloons, a plastic bottle, a point and shoot camera and wire or string.
