Poster Series for
Creative Writing Month
October 2017
Our second annual Creative Writing Month celebration was big— so big, we could barely fit all of the events in a single month.
I wanted the posters to have the same feel: big titles that push the boundaries of the page; overlapping lines and shapes that seem to extend out into space; and lots of variation to keep the designs fresh.
The best part about designing for a series is the opportunity to create a cohesive look and feel. It's also the hardest. Too much similarity feels stale, while not enough weakens the visual identity of the series. I really like how I was able to switch up the color and layout to suit each event without sacrificing the connections between them.
Onward and upward!
