Lázaro is an initiative by Los Patrones in collaboration with designer Alexis del Toro that materializes the full cycle of design. The collection includes a recliner with storage area and a full-length mirror. Iron and leather are the basis of this family of products in brown tone, a combination that dances with the duality between austerity and elegance. The selection and handling of these materials project durability and comfort; the design gives a timeless and flexible look to the pieces, in response to the needs of a chaotic generation in constant movement.
This collaboration is inspired by the motto "Mexico for Mexicans", a policy of domestic production and consumption that characterized the Cardenista period in the late 30s. The nod comes from the need to connect the loose links in the design cycle and its production: Currently the ecosystem of collaboration between the industry and the creator is somewhat fragmented in Mexico, a situation that prevents the materialization, distribution and consumption of design objects that often end up filed as sketches. With Lázaro we want to contribute to the promotion of this collaborative ecosystem.
