Edwardian Ladies Chair Restoration

Fully Re-Upholstered, joints of the chair have to get glued and clamped, then re-sprung, re-stuffed, and then Upholstered
You can see how the springs have just wore away the jute webbing that was on it
Basically clamped and left to dry then the jute webbing was put on, ready for the new springs to go on. Once the webbing has been attached to the webbing we then cut our spring canvas to put over the springs then after, we attach the springs to the canvas
Now we move on to putting new webbing on the arms and the back ready for the scrim to go on, once attached we can now move on to the horse hair filling
We can now move on to putting the calico on, and then some Polyester wadding and also some Cotton wadding
Now moving on to fitting the finish fabric on the inside arms and seat and back, then that leaves just the outside arms and back
Doing the out-side arms and back, will use metal back tacking strip this means the fabric will only be tacked at the bottom under-side of the chair.it makes life so much easier and quicker
Can now move on to the finishing touches, setting it off with some gimp/braid,
We finish off the bottom with some black none woven Tarpaulin
