This basic map of State Street in Madison, Wisconsin is comprised of a series of nine logos, each dressed to represent their store or location. The figures hold the same pose as the Forward statue on top of the Wisconsin Capitol building. The narrative tells the story of a UW student who must retrace her steps from one end of State Street to the other to gather her lost belongings and make it to her final exam. Through the calculated navigation of icons and Futura-typed notecards, the reader is drawn across the map and to a happy end.
