Macha Store Branding

Macha
Re-branding of Macha tea house & art gallery
This project entailed re-branding an existing tea house and art gallery, Macha, on Monroe Street in Madison, Wisconsin. The mark was inspired from the East Asia feel of the shop and incorporates a brushed zen circle directly in the logo. This asian influence also helped design the hand-crafted typeface used in the mark along with the soothing color palette. As the tea house doubles as an art gallery, mock promotional materials were made for the art exhibit  which encompasses the work of artist Steven Driscoll Hixson. The pamphlets, postcards, advertisements and miscellaneous gallery materials incorporate a similar color palette and figures that allude to the eastern, tranquil atmosphere within the store.
