The, "Butterfly Lamp"  was entered into the IESNYC lighting competition in New York City back in Spring of 2012.  The theme for contestants was, "Refraction."  This lamp uses a system of vinyl tubing, acryllic rod, wooden platforms, bearings, and an LED chandeleir bulb in order to create the spinning, fluttering effect that gives it its name.
