Walking Aid for Visually Challenged People

Walking Aid for Visually Challenged People
The idea there is to create a product that could be attached to any cane and make it a responsive cane with the help of sensors and Arduino board.
Sensor canes as a product already in the market but are very expensive and not everyone can buy it. So I prototyped a device that could be attached to any ordinary cane and make it a sensor cane.
PROTOTYPING
I used the following materials to create a prototype of the device
•2 Ultrasonic sensors
•1 IR sensor
•Buzzers
•Jumper wires
•Arduino board
•Plastic box.
How does it work?
Each sensor is placed at an angle which enables the device to sense 85 degree area up front at a distance of 4 feet and each sensor is connected to an individual buzzer (place left, right and center of the device) and when anything comes in range of any of the three sensors, the respective buzzer will be activated and it will rapidly buss as the object comes closer.
Device Schematics
The device powered with a powerbank which lasts for 8-9 hours

This concept is not only restricted to canes or for visually disabled, it can be used in various settings like as a security devices where it is connected to a smartphone and sends alerts if someone is trying to break in and etc.
