Making Your Office Look Merrier During the Holidays

4 Tips for Making Your Office Look Merrier During the Holidays
The holidays we all wait for each year deserve a little recognition in your workplace, don’t you think? It’s a time of the year to change up your working space, to put yourself in a better mood, and to shift your mindset to a more positive and happier one. Spicing up your office could accomplish a lot of those things and show that you’re a festive and fun person to be around.

While going out and buying lots of decorations and unique things to adorn your desk and walls sounds like the first thing you should do, we’ve got a few suggestions in here like using basic packaging supplies that can help you save money and a trip to the probably-packed store.
Add a small figurine
Liven up the area around your files and folders with a small figure of some sort. Woodland animals decked out in garland or scarves come to mind. Even little snowmen, winter birds, or plant figurines get the mood going.
Switch to festive computer wallpaper.
This is one of the simplest things you could do to get the mood going. By changing your computer background or screensaver, you can majorly adjust the look and feel of your work space. And it helps that there are thousands of options online to fit the exact mood you’re looking for.
Get crafty
I know, I know. This takes a little more work than the other options. But it’s also cheaper than the other things on this list.
You could start by printing out paper craft projects to make it easy on yourself. However, having a fun holiday crafts night with your family could yield multiple things to hang around your office. Bust out your packaging supplies, like the cardboard, sharpies, scissors, and tape, and you’ll be on your way to some quick and fun holiday decor.
Change your lighting
Holiday lighting brings to mind Christmas lights first and foremost. While you could put them on a tree in your office or drape them along your desk, some more subtle small-bulb lights that have an almost rustic holiday look could be a lot easier on the eyes and give your office a warm glow.
Also, if you have a lamp, you could change your lamp shades to something with a hearth-like essence, creating a sense of having fireplace light cast about your room.

No matter what you choose to do to celebrate the holidays, give your office a minor revamp to make your work environment fun and different.
