Spirocco is a smart medical device that is connected to standard inhalers. In many cases, it is difficult for users to learn and to practice the way in which asthma medication should be taken. Spirocco helps users to inhale just the right amount of medication, in the right way.
The device is not only a smart inhaler accessory, but also works as a peak flow meter. After the mode is activated, the user just has to blow into the front part of the pipe. The LED lights will give instant feedback of the measurement while the data is stored in the app.
The push button moves together with the canister and activates the measuring unit. It also works as a wake up button for when the measuring is happening. Afterwards, the device goes back to sleep mode to reduce battery usage.
You can adapt the device with the custom inserts to any standard inhaler.
