(mini zine) The Sun Flower

Adapted from a five-panel rough sketch
that I did more than one year ago,
this mini zine unfolds a fanciful tale of the sun with
paper cutting, clear stickers and acrylic paints.
I took an Illustration course in 2017,
in which I was told to improvise a little story within a few minutes.
This eventually turned out as a result with markers.
The piece kept going back and forth in my head yet I hadn't figured out a proper way to revise it until recently.

Last winter, I was introduced to zine-making by an instructor and been crazy about it since then. For a Collage project in October, I took the old work but re-told it with other materials. Below are a few thumbnails and colour tests.
I did the previous step digitally but thought it would be great to give the final touch mostly by hands. This paid off with 3D effects by cut papers along with a few little details edited on Photoshop.
