Swiss Miss Redesign

The redesign of the current Swiss Miss packaging. The idea behind this redesign is that I shaped each container like a mug, which is how most consumers drink it. In doing this, I decreased the size of each box and shrank the size of the 10 packets inside in order to waste less space and material. Designing it like a mug also creates an original experience in the store. The customer is no longer bringing home a boring box of hot chocolate, but a large, cozy cup full of it. This shape is different, fun and will certainly stand out on the shelf.
When the resealable lid is lifted, a graphic of steam emanating from the inside will appear. This plays along with the idea that the cup is actually a real cup full of steamy hot cocoa.
Swiss Miss has a large following due to brand loyalty. Families have grown up drinking it, so it's more about tradition and experience than the actual product itself. Because of this, a brief brand history is printed on the back of each mug to remind the audience of the all reasons why they love Swiss Miss so much.
I brought back the classic Swiss Miss girl in the aisle display. She was present on their packaging for the first 20 years of the company's history. She brings back a nostalgic quality that parents and grandparents can both remember and relate to. Swiss Miss prides itself on serving traditional, Swiss inspired hot chocolate. So, what better way to complete your Swiss experience then to have a Swiss waitress serving it to you?

A Swiss Miss keepsake ornament. Inside is a brief, but detailed history of the brand. Once inverted, the book transforms into a snowflake ornament for you to hang from your ceiling.
Swiss Miss e-blast. The copy reads: "Happy Winter! Snuggle up next to a loved one and sip a cup of Swiss Miss hot chocolate. Timeless taste. Timeless warmth. Timeless tradition."
