NASA In Space Manufacturing

3-D printed prototype of one of the Lattice Structures
Different Lattice Structure variances to figure best hole configuration for plant growth in microgravity.
Early stage Lattice Structure with a shelf to allow seeds and sugar a space to sit.
Simple Lattice Structure to experiment with plant growth in microgravity.
Tacca Cube was made for easy cleaning and use.
3-D printed syringe prototype.
This was a design project for NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center through Vanderbilt University. Our small team was researching the development of additive manufacturing capabilities that will provide on-demand, sustainable operations during NASA Exploration Missions. We developed many medical devices and plant substrates to assist plant growth in microgravity.
