Inktober is my favourite movement, since traditional drawing is close to my heart. I saw so many wonderful pieces of art come to life during this month, many artists have such interesting and unique ideas to make the challenge even more exciting. This year I decided to take it to the next level, and write a story for it. All the illustrations are captioned, and in the end, they compose a coherent tale. I planned the characters and the plot before October started, but most of the writing happened during the challenge, while the drawings were created. This way the two processes affected one another, sometimes the story was more definite, but at other times, I saw the images clearly, before I knew exactly what will happen. This was definitely an interesting experiment, and one of the hardest projects that I have ever done. It resulted 38 illustrations, and approximately 9000 words.
The story is about a young boy called Pim, whose sister goes missing. He sets off to find her, passing the boundaries of the dark forest, resided by misterious creatures. Along his way, he learns about the evil overlord, who keeps the forest's inhabitants in fear, and about the magical objects which determine authority, and the land power to their users. He also has company on his journey, the leader of the cat clan joins him, so together they can find out who kidnapped Pim's sister, and who is messing with the balance of the forest.
