OnStar // Journey Ready For Winter
Summary
Following on from the Autumn video in this series, I was once again given plenty of freedom to develop this from a loose storyboard.
Once finalised, I then adapted to five different European versions with their own titles and voiceovers in their respective languages.
If you look carefully, there's even a hidden easter egg from the previous animation too!
Character Rigs
Characters were animated using 'RubberHose 2' from Battle Axe.
This is by far my favourite way of animating characters as it has a simple workflow and produces great results.
Effects
The snow effects were created using Red Giants 'Trapcode Particular'.
There were points in the animation where the snow needed to change direction suddenly to make it look like the camera was moving position. 'Particular' gave more flexibility and allowed me to control the snow exactly how I wanted.
