В основе коллекции предметов «contain air» лежит главный принцип - отказ от традиционного понимания корпусной мебели. Целью было создать нечто не похожее на остальное, своего рода эксперимент. Поэтому вдохновляться примерами другой мебели и объектным дизайном для меня было невозможно. Архитектура, преимущественно конструктивистская, и стала нужным источником. А также применён приём повтора, как один из алгоритмов построения простых но одновременно и сложных структур в природе.
Итогом экспериментов стал ряд из 15 объектов, которые я называю малой архитектурой.
Единственный применяемый материал и способ соединения в одно тело – алюминиевая труба и точечная сварка. Если посмотреть на проекцию сверху, то можно увидеть систему точек, растр, которые набраны в структуру и развиты в необходимый для получения конкретной типологии и функции объем. Благодаря трубе получились как бы «дышащие», «растворяющиеся» в пространстве объекты.
Первыми в этой коллекции стали шкаф-этажерка B1 (building) и светильник L0 над ним, как проекция шкафа. Ключевыми словами были геометрия, воздушность, скудность и простота форм и набора средств выразительности и, чем проще, тем лучше. Концепты полностью функциональны и готовы выполнять своё прямое назначение и доставлять радость от эксплуатации.

At the heart of the collection of items contain air the main principle - the rejection of the traditional understanding of furniture. The goal was to create something different from the rest, a kind of experiment. Therefore, it was impossible for me to be inspired by examples of other furniture and object design. Architecture, mostly constructivist, and became a necessary source. A repetition technique is also used as one of the algorithms for constructing simple but at the same time complex structures in nature.
The result of the experiments was a series of 15 objects, which I call small architecture.
The only material used and the method of connection into one body are aluminum pipe and spot welding. If you look at the projection from above, you can see a system of points, a raster, which are typed into a structure and developed into the volume necessary for obtaining a specific typology and function. Thanks to the pipe, there appeared to be “breathing”, “dissolving” in space objects.
The first in this collection were the cabinet B1 (building) and the lamp L0 above it, like a projection of the cabinet. The key words were geometry, airiness, scarcity and simplicity of forms and a set of means of expression, and the simpler the better. The concepts are fully functional and ready to fulfill their intended purpose and deliver the joy of operation.
