Attempt to achieve 1000mph on land - and stimulate a UK drive to boost awareness of career opportunities STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)
I was requested to join Bloodhound's Vehicle Engineering Team due to my past involvement with key personnel designing the bodywork for the JCB Dieselmax Streamliner project. (www.jcbdieselmax.com/streamliner)
On Bloodhound SSC, I was responsible for designing & developing the exterior bodywork in CAD - from first principles through to CFD concept sign-off. I worked in conjunction with the vehicle engineering team and aerodynamics specialists.
I additionally devised the original blue and orange livery, and produced the earliest promotional images used to attract potential sponsors, and raise public awareness of the project.
