Quiet as a Mouse... (Nov 2018)
I started working on the next PSA-style graphic for our digital signage. It started with the outline of a mouse, done on a Huion digital art display in Photoshop...
As you can see, the mouse started off very rough around the edges. A simple outline drawing is what I started with, complete with some photos as reference from Google.
Once I got fleshing it out and adding colour, fur, eyes, toes, tail, etc., it turned out far better than I had imagined.
I'm actually pretty happy with how this little mouse turned out.
As I do a lot of blending with colours, this ended up only being about 19 different layers in the end, but I think it could have gotten more complicated if I had wanted to add more detail work. Considering these are just meant for digital signage and not art class or anything of the sort, I figured I'd skip the extra details and work with this little guy. Here's the final product:
