We are not the only ones that see a fault in the shoe industry, in a survey we conducted, 96 percent of people do also.  Shoe companies have been ripping people off with their poorly made shoes and with their extreme prices for too long. It costs Nike an average of $20.00 to make a pair sneaker that will retail for $150.  A general rule of thumb is that to keep running shoes in good, functional condition, they should be replaced anywhere from 300 to 500 miles after the first wear, and an athlete can go through this in a few months.  This could result in as much as $600 dollars per year, per person, on sneakers.
