Athena, the greek mythological goddess was the basis and inspiration for my Portfolio Concept, and from where this typeface was born. As a shapeshifter, Athena brought to life a typeface that embodies ever-changing femininity and boldness. The breakdown of the letterforms took influence from Athena’s symbolic animal: the serpent, a predator epitomizing order and strength in greek mythology. Paired with the bold, rich and eye-catching gold colour of the type, Athena’s spirit is portrayed. 

Shapeshifting is Athena’s most iconic power, where she can change her shape or form and can morph other living beings into different forms. As this typeface interlaces with the well-known Times Roman, it creates a visual representation of shapeshifting through typography.
