Cover design: Albumin treatment and liver cirrhosis

Design brief: Create a cover design that depicts the main title without showing people, alcohol, or a liver. The preferred style is bold, simple and abstract.
Designer's take: This design was quite tricky, as I was asked to design a cover on an unknown topic. In other words, two different papers of research had contradicting data and the jury was still out when it came to the effects of Albumin, a liver-made protein, on the long term treatment in cirrhosis. I decided to show a person walking through a street of questions and the unknown, exemplified by the cut-out question mark and the element of time represented by the hourglass at the bottom.
