We began by reading literature on this subject and conducting focus groups and one-to-one interviews with elderly users. As a result of these inquiries, we came up with a set of design ideas and system set-up which could be turned into an object-finder.
The traditional sketches and diagrams took form of a computer design. This was simply made using controls of microsoft powerpoint with objects like numbers, speaker and camera downloaded from the web. Use cases where built upon development of the powerpoint design and printed sheets of screenshots (seen below) were to replace original screens during discussions and focus groups.
