For a very long time I was conflicted about what I wanted to do after high school and college. This is due in part to the fact that I didn’t see very many people that liked me on tv or in movies or any other place presented in a positive and successful manner. It’s also because as I grew up I stopped thinking without boundaries and let practicality limit my dreams and goals. It took a lot of time for me to realize that I had to be my own hero, my own role model and this quote speaks to that. Like the prominent people featured I hope that my success means that kids like the one I was don’t have to look far for encouragement, love, understanding and something promising to aspire to.
