American Ride, produced by BYU TV is an American history show with a twist: the host cruises around the country on a Harley. With a premise that epic, the episode teasers had to rise to the occasion. So the production team at BYU TV turned to Art + War to design and animate the promo spots.
PROCESS
A great history lesson paints a picture and makes you feel like a front-row spectator to our most pivotal moments. We wanted the promotions to have that same impact and settled on a creative direction that felt like viewers were literally flying through the pages of history. We started with iconic paintings and photos and brought them to life with intense Photoshoppery and skillful animation.
APPLICATION
The visual results were even better than we imagined. The promos were extremely well received by BYU TV and their audience. One of the spots was even nominated for a Regional Emmy.
