First underwater shoot for this season with Natalie testing out LED lighting technology in the evening instead of using natural light or strobes.
The coloured one is using 2 x 100w RGB LED's Floods which I've found underpowered and needing at least 3-4 times the brightness to be usable. Its more around 30watts out on each.
The white light is using a 300w LED cool white which supposedly has 6 x 50w cobs in a metal casing. Testing it with a powermeter its only around 115-140watts depending on temperature. Opening it up it uses the driverless chips hooked up to mains. This one though borderline usable I think having at least 600 actual watts worth would give the best balance. I got another LED 500watts rated and outputting around 375watts so lets see how that goes in the next shoot.
