I got the chance to work on one of my first portraits last week for the classical music magazine Listen. The drawing is of the Viennese composer and humorist Franz Mittler. Thanks to Nathan Eames for the assignment!
Bonus Spots:
Along with composing and recording music, Franz Mittler was famous for writing spoonerisms. These spots were sprinkled through the article and illustrate these two spoonerisms.
"I would rather have a boot in the rear
Than a root in my beer."
and
"I find Isolde's potion mixture
Too boring for a motion picture."
