Where are 11-14?
They were a lot of really crappy renders trying to get the technique that you see in 15 right.
This one was inspired by the trailer for an upcoming movie called Vice. The song in the trailer is "The Man" by the Killers. The song and its lyrics have a 1980s blind optimism kind of vibe. The lyrics "I'm the man" appear between the model's legs symbolizing his display of sexuality. The model's head fades to green to symbolize modern man's greed.
Here I started experimenting with Adobe Dimension - their ultra basic 3D program. Abstract shapes were created in Cinema 4D. They were textured, lit, and rendered in Dimension. I think this is a great workflow for me - the mutability of C4D combined with Dimension's super simple, yet high-quality rendering engine.
Posters 1-3 were technique experimentation.
Honestly - on day 3 (below) I left it until the last minute. I don't love this one. The idea with daily projects though is to let go of "good" or "bad" and to just keep moving. Always keep moving. Creative block is no match for raw momentum and force of will.
