Village Capital
A web platform to support social entrepreneurs worldwide.

The Village Capital program platform was designed and developed for early-stage ventures solving major global problems to participate in award-winning curriculum to help scale their business and become investment-ready.

The programs use a the peer-selection model, empowering  entrepreneurs themselves to choose the companies in the program that receive investment.

Village Capital programs generally consist of three four-day workshops over a three-month period. In the sessions, ventures develop their business models, learn to create and manage a team, interact with potential customers, and connect with investors, all while participating in peer-mentoring with an eye toward the ultimate peer-rank and investment.

For entrepreneurs the platform provides a dashboard for managing schedule and tasks, a highly visual ranking experience, and a hypothesis testing tool to track and discuss improvements across every area of a startup throughout the course of the program. For program managers, platform helps manage entrepreneurs in the cohort, guide the peer-ranking process, and keep schedule, mentors, and tasks efficiently organized.

At the end of each program, the entrepreneurs assess each other in an open and transparent process. The two highest-ranked ventures receive seed capital from VilCap Investments and co-investors.
