We refreshed much of 2011’s graphic style in line with this manifesto approach. Within the new artwork were recycled elements of the former campaign. We also investigated type, badges and receipts found in consumer culture. Images were pulled apart until we had narrowed the manifesto to the strapline: “Buy Less Value More”. Following the success of Manchester Design Symposium 2011, Eskimo was again appointed lead design studio to develop the event campaign. We created a design manifesto in collaboration with the client. The creative brief was partially inspired by Ken Garland’s 1970s manifesto 'First Things First'.
