Book of Contrasts
My prompt for the Book of Contrasts was "Old vs. Young," and while I came up many different approaches, I was drawn to this one because of the slight differences between the two.  As children, our parents mandate what we eat and how much we eat, making sure we get healthy portions and balanced meals, but when we grow into adults, we're are urged to eat portion amounts that we only dreamed of eating when they were a child.  Many times, adults then regret it and say they should have listened to their moms.
I decided that I wanted to keep the spreads the same layout, just mirrored images of each other with different color schemes and different portion sizes.  By doing this I hoped to get across the fact that even though a person gets older, they are still a little childish at heart.  I also chose to have differing patterns in the background and part of the illustration, using the five same patterns throughout the spreads.
