Bee Fresh Farms produces and retails quality, New Zealand made foods and related products. Our focus is on small-run, handmade sustainable goods that have been grown, raised or produced in natural environments using time-honoured practices. 100% locally produced in Wellington, New Zealand, their honey is rich in flavour and independently certified 100+ methylglyoxal when packed. Wellington Manuka Honey Company is a division of Bee Fresh Farms.
I have been involved in the product design since the business’ inception, when it began trading as Silverstream Honey. Since then, the company has been acquired by new owners who I have collaborated with closely in designing new Bee Fresh Farms and Wellington Manuka Honey brands, product packaging and promotional material.
For Bee Fresh Farm's logo and brand design refresh, I turned to the Wellington Manuka Honey Company logo I had designed for them in 2014 and applied their new brand principals to a unique concept of a leaf coloured with honeybee stripes of yellow and black. The leaf is a universal symbol representing freshness, nature and organic products. The fluid shape of the leaf is designed to also subtly mimic the All Blacks silver fern logo.
Bee Fresh Farms is on sale in Wellington at Commonsense Organics, Moore Wilsons, Native NZ Gift and Souvenir Shop on Wakefield Street, Chaffers New World, Thorndon New World and the MG50+ product is included in Wellington in a Box. You can also stop by the Wellington Harbourside Markets on Sundays and visit the Bee Fresh Farms tent to enjoy a variety of products, treats and samples.
