Amazon Dash x Cannabis Store | Service Visualisation
Cannabis Store with Amazon Dash Button Service Visualisation

BACKGROUND:
This challenge is part of the course 'Service Visualisation' instructed by Adriano Gariglio. During the design challenge, students experimented with service visualization and storytelling to generate concept scenarios to be evaluated by representative end-users. In 2015, Amazon launched the Amazon Dash Button, a small electronic device designed to make ordering products easy and fast. The Dash buttons come in packs; each device contains an embedded button emblazoned with the name of a frequently ordered product. Users can use each button to order a specific product and quantity, via the user's Amazon.com account, and mount the buttons, using adhesive tape or a plastic clip, to where they use the products. Pressing the button sends a Wi-Fi signal to the Amazon Shopping app, and orders new stock of whatever product the button is configured to order; the click also sends a message to the user's mobile phone, giving the user a half- hour to cancel.

CHALLENGE:
Amazon wants to extend the Amazon Dash Button offer to goods and services offered by third party crafting unique experiences. Students were given 10 key needs and related 10 concepts to pick from and transform one concept into a concept scenario. My group, of 3 persons, picked 'Matteo' who enjoys smoking pots and Amazon offers him a service that delivers marihuana from Cannabis Light Store at the door by pressing a button.  In class, students also needed to evaluate the 10 concepts from the highest to the lowest “UX Index” administrating the concept scenarios and a survey to representative end-users. From the start of concept scenario building to the finished output ready for presentation, we were given only a day.

OUTPUT:
A tangible story visualised to be shared with representative end-user. We got to learn a first-hand experience in concept scenario building, presentation and evaluation.
Note: Some of the graphics created on this project are not completely my original work or the other members'.  They have been modified to some extent due to the design concept and visual consistency of the presentation.
