The San Francisco Zoo needed a new identity and signage system that was functional and reflected the zoo’s unique qualities. The solution for the identity was inspired by the majestic cypress trees that tower over the zoo’s wildlife. The signage system was designed to harmonize with the landscape and the California Craftsman architecture found at the zoo. Natural, durable materials to withstand the harsh conditions of the seaside location were utilized throughout.
