I was honored to be invited by Animography to participate in their initiative, "A word, A week". My love for cute, squishy characters and unfortunate events inspired "Merde".
Taking part in this, I got to choose one of their animated fonts to use in my submission.
So Andrew Vucko's "Boomerang" was an obvious choice for this style.
I wanted the character to have a happy strut with stretched out poses. The legs and arms are pretty much doing the heavy lifting when it comes to the attitude of the movements.
Working with Luke from The Soundery is always a treat. When the first pass of animation was done, he added that the pewp should be it's own character. After being massacred, it finally gets it revenge towards the end. Story-telling at its finest!
