A fusion restaurant, under construction designed for a client who seeks to
amalgamate local and western cuisine. The same spirit is translated into
the restaurant’s articulation. Geometric motif’s inspired from historic
Islamic architecture are repeated inside as textured plane. These are juxtaposed
with more rustic elements such as brick and concrete.
The restaurant is situated in an existing building. Some features of this old
building especially the precast roof is kept in the new design and treated to
blend in. The facade of the building is also inspired by Islamic geometry
however it has been deconstructed and articulated in a more contemporary
manner.
