This piece was a save-the-date card for the couple. He is Dominican and she from the states, so since the groom-to-be's family lived in the Dominican and the wedding would be there, we put the map on one side with all the attractions of the Dominican illustrated, and on the reverse was the invitation to save the date .... in both English and Spanish.
This is the menu for a wedding taking place in Hawaii. The colors were orchid and green, menu in three layers. The base paper is mould made, imbedded with flowers The second layer is text laid paper with hand embellishments and printed in muted green. Each outer vellum layer was totally hand letterd with the words Mahalo, which means, in Hawaii, "Thank you", loosely translated..... and "for sharing in our joy." The date at the bottom finished the piece.
