Online dating romance scam is a part of mass-marketing fraud conducted international criminal groups via social networks and online dating website. A study was conducted comparing romance scam victims with those who has never been scammed by MMFs (Monica,). The study shows that middle-aged and well-educated lady are more prone to MMFs scam. The victims also have high scores in urgency and sensation seeking, in other words they are impulsive. The study conducted (Monica, 2018) is crucial as it can be used to portray the victim’s characteristics in this video promotional advert as the general mass are able to relate better.
