For this project I was tasked with providing illustrations for a children's book with a watery tale! This included visual character development and aligning my media to create a washed-up and piratey feel.
First, I sketched and inked in the lines of the characters before scanning them into Adobe Photoshop. I then used wet media brushes to create a pulpy, watercolour feel to the image, using an alcohol brush to burn away and highlight areas to help create a salty feel.
