San Francisco City Hall Centennial Celebration
Client: SF City Hall
Project: San Francisco City Hall Centennial Celebration
Year: 2015

The City of San Francisco celebrated the Centennial of its City Hall building with a festival that culminated with an epic digital illumination experience designed by Obscura Digital. San Francisco City Hall’s façade was transformed into a creative journey through 100 years of history ending with a grand visual finale.

Future plans are to create a permanent architectural projection platform designed to deliver an ongoing media environment for celebrating all of San Francisco’s key events throughout the year with live projection experiences. It will represent a new kind of experience in a public place, offering a unique stage for artists, supporters, and benefactors.
I was contracted by Obscura to create an illustration outline version of San Francisco's City Hall to be able to map the projections onto the building and having the details shine with precision. At some points of the video you will see where outlines show. It was a quick tedious job that I was glad to be apart of.
