To keep developping new skills; I decided to give a little try at Digital Painting. I found a picture which I thought looked beautiful on a Twitter page called @AestheticsJapan, and as I am also very curious, and have a huge interest in the Asian culture, and more precisely the Japanese culture, I thought it would be a good place to start. Here is the original picture :
As a second step, I sketched all the outlines, then filled them with flat colours, without trying to be too accurate about the actual colours. It only helped me to visualize every elements I will then need to push a bit further.
These are the 2 results :
And finally, as the last step, I individually drew all the shadings on every layers, then the lighting effects, and to finish the piece, just a tiny bunch of textures here and there.
For a very first piece, I'm happy about how it turned out, and definitely look forward to do more works like this !

I obviously noted a lot of things that need to be done better or at least differently in future works, but all kind of feedback is highly appreciated !
