We were given a brief which required the creation of an empowering female character that children could relate to. Bully Buster was designed and created as a means of highlighting the severity of bullying amongst today’s youth. The game would serve as both a form of therapeutic escape for children who have been bullied, by providing them with an online platform where they could fearlessly conquer bullies, while also encouraging others to speak up when witnessing bullying. The user would play as Kali the Cat; a girl with cat-like characteristics such as heightened senses and speed, who sets out to stick up for the victims of bullying and teach their oppressors a lesson.
