These are two concepts for the following brief.

The Brief:

We’re creating the best international kindergartens, preschools and nurseries in the world – places that ignite your child’s imagination and creativity.
We make them want to never leave school while giving them the head start they need in a hypercompetitive world. 
Voyager International is founded and run by a group of parents of young children around the world who, frustrated by the general quality and service of the early childhood education in their cities, got together to try and build a truly 21st-century international early years education offering.

The task at hand

The challenge, restrictions, and project deliverables.
Voyager requires a new logo and supporting identity system for the launch of their new school in Texas. In addition to digital applications, a 1-colour version of the mark will be required for laser engraving on wood and metal. An icon version of the logo must also be considered for use in various social media properties.

The target audience

The primary audience is 28 to roughly 40 year old parents across the world who are willing to invest in high-quality, customised-forward looking new age education for pre schoolers. These parents, always seeking the latest and greatest; they are split 70% female and 30% male.

The main communication goals

The objectives for the work and priority of main messages.
All deliverables should position the company as the high-end choice in pre-primary education, represent a forward looking futuristic school well suited to the name. The Voyager school logo should evoke a feeling of journey, space, exploration, creativity, childhood, children going on an unforgettable experience and speak to the audience in an honest way.

Assess the competitive landscape
Knowing other companies in the same space helps the designer intelligently position any new work
Provide a high-level creative direction/key concepts
The brand communications should feel: confident, refined, luxe, well crafted, and vibrant. Avoid cutesy, whimsical or traditional .
