I wanted to take the prompt of "borders" more abstractly, so I started thinking about it in relation to access, which turned into access to education. While researching, I found that when students don't have proper access to school supplies like pencils and updated textbooks not only do their grades suffer, especially on standardized testing, but also their confidence in themselves as a student suffers. I wanted to make a poster illustrating this border of access to supplies blocking children from receiving an education.
