Project Description:
To pay homage to Peter Saville, these two posters attempt to reflect the brilliant designer's own style with typography that represents who he is and the work that he has done. I decided to design the first poster based on the chemical make-up of crack (yes the destructive drug) after being inspired from a quote he said about how pop culture has turned to be, like crack, "isolating, wasteful, and with no redeeming qualities whatsoever." The second poster emulates the album cover for Joy Division titled "Total", where Saville uses CMYK colored letters to give off a 3D effect. Both posters are promoting a mock-exhibition that would be held on SJSU campus.
