The whole concept of mine was inspired from the similarity between Goddess Au Co - mother of the first king (also known as Hung King) and first people in Vietnam according to Vietnamese legend, and Daenerys Targaryen - one of the main characters in the TV series Game of Thrones. Both are powerful queens that play a vital role in the world they live in. Also, I see the similarity between the appearance of my product - dragon fruits and the dragons themselves. Based on those similarities and connections, my ambition is not only to introduce Vietnamese authentic dragon fruits to the U.S people in the most impressive way by creating an untold story behind them, but also to bring them a bit of Vietnamese culture. Besides, I would like to help Vietnamese farmers solve their dragon fruits exporting problems and live a less struggling life by expanding the market to the U.S.

I designed the packaging based on the four main characters of my story. With Goddess Au Co as the product’s name and main representative, Hoa Long (The Fire Dragon), Kim Long (The Golden Dragon), and Bach Long (The Silver Dragon) in turn stand for Red heart dragon fruits, Yellow dragon fruits and White heart dragon fruits. The dragons’ images are based on the Vietnamese artworks of the Ly, Le and Nguyen Dynasties.

Concept lấy cảm hứng thứ nhất từ sự tương đồng giữa Âu Cơ trong truyền thuyết Việt Nam với Daenerys Targaryen - nhân vật chính của TV series Game of Thrones; thứ hai là sự tương đồng của sản phẩm thanh long với hình dáng của rồng (tên thanh long cũng có nghĩa là rồng). Từ đó, tôi muốn giới thiệu sản phẩm thanh long Việt Nam đến với cư dân Hoa Kỳ một cách ấn tượng qua câu chuyện tôi kể, đồng thời mang lại một chút văn hóa Việt Nam đến đất nước này. Ngoài ra, tôi cũng muốn giúp nông dân Việt Nam vượt qua khó khăn trong xuất khẩu thanh long bằng cách mở rộng thị trường sang đất nước tiềm năng - Hoa Kỳ.

Bao bì được thiết kế dựa trên bốn nhân vật chính của câu chuyện. Âu Cơ là tên sản phẩm và là nhân vật đại diện chính. Hỏa Long, Kim Long và Bạch Long lần lượt đại diện cho thanh long ruột đỏ, thanh long vàng và thanh long ruột trắng. Hình mẫu rồng lấy ý tưởng từ hình mẫu rồng thời Lý, thời Lê và thời Nguyễn.
