ARCHdiocese of malta
re-branding
The Archdiocese of Malta, formerly referred to as The Church in Malta, is Maltese Diocesan arm of the Roman Catholic Church. Based at the Archbishop's Curia in Floriana, the Archdiocese is the administrative and pastoral head of the Catholic Church in Malta.
The previous branding for the Archdiocese was developed by Rightbrain in 2013. Five years on, the Archdiocese wanted a rebranding that reflected both the changes in structure and approach that were taking place internally, as well as being up to par with design trends in 2018. Rather than being a complete departure from the old, the new logo serves as an evolution of the previous design.
The new logo simplifies the previous design, retaining the use of negative space and the four quadrants, whilst making it more dynamic and adapted to use on a diverse range of media.
